Bardonecchia e-Enduro Tour

Duration: 2–4 days Distance: 35–60 km per day Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced Daily Elevation Gain: 700 – 1800 m D+

Bardonecchia Trail Area

Discover Bardonecchia on a high-altitude e-Enduro tour through the Western Alps. Natural singletracks, historic military roads and technical descents connect remote valleys and mountain passes between Italy and France. Each route is adapted to the group and trail conditions, combining e-MTB climbing with strategic 4×4 shuttle support.

High-Altitude Singletracks

Ride natural Alpine trails around Jafferau, Valfredda and Colle della Rho on a two- to four-day e-Enduro experience in Bardonecchia. Long S2–S3 singletrack descents wind through rocky terrain, open mountainsides and remote valleys, far removed from shaped bike-park lines. Every route is hand-picked according to the group’s technical level, riding experience and the season’s mountain conditions — keeping each descent wild, technical and true to the terrain.

Cross-Border MTB Routes

From Bardonecchia, guided e-MTB tours can cross the Italian-French border towards Colle della Scala and the Vallée de la Clarée. These full-day stages combine high Alpine passes, historic military roads and natural singletracks through constantly changing mountain scenery. Depending on weather and trail conditions, they can be included in a two- to four-day e-Enduro program tailored to the group’s technical level.

e-MTB and 4×4 Bike Shuttle

Large elevation gains and high-altitude terrain make e-MTBs the ideal choice for exploring Bardonecchia’s enduro trails. Strategic 4×4 bike shuttles provide access to selected trailheads around Jafferau, Valfredda and the surrounding Western Alps, cutting out repetitive climbs while preserving the feel of a genuine mountain journey. This balanced approach creates more time and energy for long natural singletrack descents, without turning the experience into a conventional shuttle-only enduro day.

Tour F.A.Q.

What makes Bardonecchia different from other Alpine enduro destinations?

Bardonecchia combines high-altitude natural singletracks, historic military roads and long descents through remote valleys near the Italian–French border. Rather than riding within a single trail centre, each day can explore a different mountain sector, including Jafferau, Valfredda, Colle della Rho and the border landscapes towards France.

When is the best time for e-Enduro riding in Bardonecchia?

The main season generally runs from late June to early October, depending on snow and high-altitude trail conditions. Some routes reach exposed Alpine terrain, so the daily itinerary is always selected according to seasonal access and weather.

Why combine an e-MTB with 4×4 bike shuttle support?

Bardonecchia’s large elevation gains and remote trailheads make this combination especially effective. The e-MTB keeps climbs and traverses part of the experience, while strategic shuttle support provides access to selected high points and leaves more time and energy for the best natural descents.

Does the tour follow a fixed itinerary?

No. Each tour is planned around the group, weather, trail conditions and seasonal access to the high mountains. Depending on these factors, we can explore areas such as Jafferau, Valfredda, Colle della Rho and other lesser-known valleys around Bardonecchia.

Can the tour include a day in a bike park?

Yes. One of the riding days can be spent at the Sauze d’Oulx Bike Park, combining lift-assisted trails with the wider Bardonecchia e-Enduro experience. It is an excellent option for adding a different style of riding and maximising descending time. The day can be included depending on lift operations, trail conditions and the group’s preferences.
