This Cookie Policy explains how wolftrails.it uses cookies and similar technologies, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive, Art. 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, the GDPR, and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to work properly, remember your choices, and, if you consent, measure usage, show relevant advertising, or display third-party content.
2. Types of cookies we use
Technical (strictly necessary) cookies
These are needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices and language. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, traffic sources, device type) so we can improve it. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Analytics cookies are set only after you consent.
Advertising and measurement cookies
With your consent, we use Google Ads / Google tags and the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing) on Google and Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). These cookies can track your browsing across websites and are set only after you consent. We use Google Consent Mode, so Google services adjust their behaviour according to your choice.
Third-party content cookies
Embedded YouTube videos and Google Maps maps may set cookies and receive your IP address. They are loaded only after you consent; until then, a placeholder is shown instead of the content.

Third-party cookies are governed by the providers’ own policies: Google (Analytics, Ads, YouTube, Maps) and Meta.
4. How to manage your consent
When you first visit the site, the cookie banner lets you accept all, reject all, or customise your choices by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site remains usable if you reject non-essential cookies.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Your choice is stored for 6 months, after which we will ask again. We keep a record of your choice, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Note that blocking technical cookies may affect how the site works.
